Why do some people think it’s okay to be a cyberbully?
Why do some people think it’s okay to bash or be nasty to other people online? Especially since some people take it literally and do things like commit suicide? How aware are people that cyberbullying can have both personal and legal consequences if another person commits suicide because of the cyberbullying?

Cyberbullying? I think it’s hilarious that people gave it a name. I personally could care less, if you’re dumb enough to give in to it then get off the internet. Troll or be trolled.
The same reason people are bullies in face to face situations. It’s just another communication tool that makes bullying possible.
It might not be morally right, but it is legally right. It is protected by freedom of speech.
You know they feel empowered hiding behind the computer. In reality, they wouldn’t say a word to you if you were standing in front of them.
They are bullies and cowards and someday, Karma will find them

Because they do it for the sport and enjoy rabble rousing… mind you, at a safe distance.
Unfortunately, as for those who commit suicide because of some bully’s words in cyberspace, I’d think they must not be that stable mentally in the first place.
