Cyber-bullying

Bullying is aggressive behavior that is intentional and involves the exercise of power by an individual over someone that is weaker. This behavior is not a one time occurrence but is repeated over time until the person being victimized becomes totally helpless and fearful of the person who is intimidating him/her. Traditionally, schoolyard bullying took several forms that included physical and verbal abuse.  It also took the form of intimidation and social isolation.  That type of bullying still goes on but another more dangerous form has come on the scene with the advent of the Internet. This type of bullying can be even more dangerous because the perpetrator can do damage and remain anonymous. Sometimes it is more difficult to identify the culprit. Whatever form bullying takes, whether it is the old fashioned kind or the technologically advanced cyber-bullying, this type of behavior is not to be tolerated and must be stamped out no matter where it originates. Whether you write for the web or a magazine it can be tempting to lift a sentence or complete thought and move it into the body of your work. After all, it seems to ft the premise you are working on and you’re facing a deadline.

This is a form of stealing that is addressed often in schools across the nation when students are too tired or lazy to finish an essay using their own words.

“Taking something from one man and making it worse is plagiarism.” – George A. Moore

Some Computer Identity Theft Cases

Computer identity theft cases normally take various forms. They mostly target people who are most vulnerable, for example senior citizens and children. Computer identity theft cases may for example take the form of an individual who pretends to be an agent of the federal tax authority. He identifies himself as a tax agent and requests you to send your social security number to him.
Such messages are normally sent to people’s inboxes. Some people do not think that they can be victims of online identity theft thus they do not normally take the necessary precautions. If you respond to such messages that are supposedly from online tax agents, your details will be used to operate several credit cards and sometimes withdrawing money from your bank account.
